Studio Policies

Clay Space Class & Membership Policies By registering for a class or membership at Clay Space, you acknowledge and agree to the following policies. Age Requirements: Participants must be 16+ unless otherwise stated. Six-Week Class Cancellations: Cancellations made 14+ days before the first class will receive a refund less a $50 administrative fee. Cancellations made fewer than 14 days before class are non-refundable. Makeup Classes: Missed classes may be made up in another session when space is available. Makeups are not guaranteed and are limited to two per 6-week session. Clay & Firing: Only clay purchased through Clay Space may be used in the studio. Unlimited firing applies only to work created at Clay Space using studio-purchased clay. Unfinished Work: Instructors will help students work toward completing projects during their session. Additional studio time beyond the course may require enrollment in another class or an eligible Clay Space membership. Studio Policies: Wear clothing you don’t mind getting clay on; some clay bodies may stain. Participants must follow all instructor directions and studio safety rules. Clay Space may remove anyone engaging in unsafe or disruptive behavior without refund. Production Work: Clay Space is a community studio for learning, creativity, and personal making. Members may sell their work, but high-volume or commercial production is not permitted under standard memberships. Assumption of Risk & Release: Ceramics activities may involve tools, equipment, materials, chemicals, heat, kilns, and other hazards. By participating, you voluntarily assume the inherent risks and agree to follow all safety instructions. To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree to release, indemnify, and hold harmless Clay Space LLC, its owners, employees, instructors, contractors, and agents from claims, liabilities, damages, or expenses arising from participation, except those caused by gross negligence, reckless conduct, or intentional misconduct. Participants under 18 must be registered or authorized by a parent or legal guardian, who agrees to these policies on the minor’s behalf to the extent permitted by law. By completing registration, you confirm that you have read and agree to these policies.
