Studio Policies

By registering for a class, workshop, or membership at Clay Space, you acknowledge and agree to the following policies. Children ages 11–17 may register only for designated Kids Classes or Family Classes where applicable. Refunds & Cancellations for Six-Week Classes * Cancellations made 14 or more days before the start of class will receive a refund less a $50 administrative fee. * Cancellations made fewer than 14 days before the start of class are non-refundable. Clay Policy To ensure consistent firing results and protect our kilns, only clay purchased through Clay Space may be used in the studio. Unlimited firings apply only to pieces created in the studio using Clay Space clay. Unfinished Work Instructors will provide guidance throughout each session to help students complete their projects. If you need additional time to finish a piece, it’s the perfect opportunity to register for another class or apply for a Clay Space membership to continue working in the studio. Studio Policies * Please wear clothing that you don’t mind getting clay on. * Clay washes out easily, though some darker clay bodies may stain clothing. * Clay Space reserves the right to refuse service or remove any participant whose behavior is disruptive, unsafe, or prevents others from enjoying the class. Refunds will not be issued in these situations. Production Work Clay Space is a community ceramics studio intended for learning, creativity, and personal making. While members are welcome to sell work they create, the studio is not intended to operate as a production facility, and high-volume production work is not permitted under standard memberships. By completing your registration, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to these Booking Policies.
