Studio Policies

By registering for a one-time wheel class at Clay Space, you acknowledge and agree to the following policies. Age Requirements: 16+ Cancellations & Refunds One-time classes are non-refundable. If you’re unable to attend, please let us know at least 14 days in advance, and we’ll issue a studio credit that can be used toward a future one-time class. Can’t make it? You’re also welcome to transfer your reservation to a friend or family member—just let us know who will be taking your place. Your Pottery Each participant may select one piece to be professionally glazed and fired. Finished pieces are typically ready for pickup in 4–6 weeks. While we take every precaution during drying, glazing, and kiln firing, ceramics is an unpredictable process. Occasionally pieces may crack, warp, or break despite proper handling. Clay Space cannot guarantee successful firing and is not responsible for pieces damaged during the ceramic process. Finished work must be picked up within 60 days of notification. Pieces left beyond this time may be donated or discarded due to limited storage space. Studio Policies * No prior pottery experience is necessary. * All clay, tools, glazing, and firing are included. * Please wear comfortable clothing that you don’t mind getting a little clay on. * Clay washes out easily, though some darker clay bodies may stain clothing. * Clay Space reserves the right to refuse service or remove any participant whose behavior is disruptive, unsafe, or prevents others from enjoying the class. Refunds will not be issued in these situations. Assumption of Risk & Release of Liability: Participation may involve tools, equipment, materials, chemicals, heat, and other potential hazards. By participating, you acknowledge and voluntarily assume the inherent risks of these activities and agree to follow all safety instructions. To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree to release, indemnify, and hold harmless Clay Space LLC, its owners, employees, instructors, contractors, and agents from claims, liabilities, damages, or expenses arising from participation, except those caused by gross negligence, reckless conduct, or intentional misconduct. Participants under 18 must be registered or authorized by a parent or legal guardian, who agrees to these policies on the minor’s behalf to the extent permitted by law.
